Here is a photo of Daniel Schwalm. He was born on 1844 to Fredrick Schwalm and Caterina Stein Schwalm. Daniel was the 10th son of Fredrick and Caterina. There is a Schwalm historical society that is made up of the decendents of Fredrick Schwalm's 15 children, and a book titled "Johannes Schwalm the Hessian" written about Daniel's grandfather (Fredrick's father) who was a Hessian soldier in the revolutionary war. Daniel married Mary Ann Wheary and they had many children as well, among them J. Wilson Schwalm born in 1861. Upon the death of Mary Ann, Daniel married again. His second wife was Mary Ann Reiner Snyder Schwalm. They had no children. Daniel died in the late 1880s.
