Heyder George Zeibel was born on September 10, 1917 in Oelwein, Iowa to Anthony George Zeibel and Ida Ester Heyder Zeibel. He was their seventh and youngest child, as well as the only boy. He is known by George Zeibel. He graduated from Penn State University in 1942 and went into the army, serving in Burma during World War II. He married Izabel Dorthea Mayurnick on July 14, 1946. They had one child, a son, Joseph George Zeibel born September 21, 1947. Izabel died in 1977 and George remarried in April, 1980 to Mary Florence Smith.

George worked in poultry nutrition for many years. Here is a picture of a local hatchery truck in Martinsville, West Virginia from the early 1950s.

Florence's father Lester is in his mid 90s as of the year 2002. Here is a picture of Lester with his second wife. Lester is George Zeibel's father-in-law.
