Here is a photo of John Jacob Laudenslager. He was born on February 2, 1825 to J. Daniel Lautenschlager and Susanna Umholtz. He married Julia Ann Hoffman. They had several 5 children, among them Sarah Laudenslager, the great grandmother of Jane Garver Sterrett. John Laudenslager died May 18, 1895.

Here is an old Laudenslager family portrait done in the 1870s. Seated is the center is John Laudenslager. His daughter, Mary Laudenslager James is on the right in the back row. John Laudenslager's wife, Julia Ann Hoffman is seated next to him. In the back row are his three daughters. Directly behind John is Sarah Laudenslager. Standing on the left is Emma Laudenslager Daniels. Seated next to John Laudenslager is his son, Charles Laudenslager.

Here is Mary Laudenslager James. She was John Laudenslager's daughter. With Mary Laudenslager James is her grand niece, Mary Gertrude Schwalm, and her grand nephew, Clarence Schwalm. Mary Laudenslager married Will James around 1860. Will subsequently died in the Civil War.

Here is a poor copy of a really old Laudenslager family photo. All the children are shown. Standing in the back row are John, Charles, Henrietta, and Henry. In the front row are Lizzie, Charles H., Sarah, and Edward. Sula is standing and the baby is Clara.
