Mary Alice Gertrude Schwalm was born on January 30, 1892 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvannia to Wilson John Schwalm and Ida Celeste Kratzer Schwalm. She married Davis Leonard Garver on April 20, 1917. They had a daughter, Jane Carolyn Garver born on October 2, 1923. She was known as Gertrude. She died March 24, 1966 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Here is Mary Gertrude Schwalm with her brother Clarence Schwalm and her great aunt, Mary Laudenslager James. Mary Laudenslager married Will James around 1860. Will subsequently died in the Civil War.
