Jason's virtual collection of National Scout Jamboree Patches and
Memorabilia
1937 The first actually held Jamboree... Washington, D.C.
Pocket Patch (original). These also tended be be moth eaten, but since
most were sewn on and worn for years truly MINT ones are very rare and tend to go for
over $500.
See the reverse of an original 1937 pocket patch.
A reproduction of the 1937 pocket patch made by the BSA
to be included in souviner sets sold at the 1973 jamboree.
Cloth patch (not felt as the other pocket patches) issued for the 1937 jamboree.
Two different reproductions of the 1937 pocket patch issued by Bates in the
1970s.
More, different reproductions of the 1937 pocket patch issued in the
1970s and 1980s. Most scans tell how to tell them from the original.
Pennants from the 1937 jamboree. Some were red, others purple. I think they were both these colors originially, but after
years of fading, its hard to tell if they were all red to start with and then faded.
Blue pennant for the 1937 jamboree.
Blue youth neckerchief 1937.
Red youth neckerchief 1937.
Blue adult neckerchief 1937.

Jamboree Guides neckerchief 1937. (very rare)
Two neckerchiefs reproductions made by Ang (and his company from Taiwan) in the
1970s. One neckerchief has a patch embroidered and the other is
silk screened.
These were part of a set of neckerchiefs supposedly sold at the 1960 jamboree to commemorate the previous jamborees.
Each region at the jamboree had different felt region patches to identify itself. Here is an example. The first one is from
region 10. The second is from region 1.
Here is a felt 1937 world jamboree troop strip. The world jamboree was held in the Netherlands in 1937.
It was actually worn at the 1937 national jamboree by the boys who were going on to the world jamboree after the national was over.
They camped in Area Q near the Jamboree headquarters across Constitution Avenue from the ellipse and the White House.
When they went to the world jamboree this tab was replaced with one that had USA and the troop number on it.
In this example, the boy was in troop 29 in the "Q" camp. (Robert, thanks for the explination!)
Along the same lines, here is a BSA contingent strip to the 1937 world jamboree.
I believe that this segment was worn at the 1937 national jamboree for those scouts that were on regional staff.
I believe that this segment was worn at the 1937 national jamboree for those scouts that were going to be on staff
at the world jamboree that year in the Netherlands.
Sea scout ship strip from the 1935 and or 1937 jamboree. Definitely worn at the 1937 jamboree, possibly these or similar were planned for the 1935 jamboree.
These two patches (director and chief director) .
were issued by the BSA at the time of the 1937 jamboree. Whether they were used directly for the jamboree is unclear.
Either way, they are interesting.
I somehow doubt this is from the
time period of the jamboree, but here is a 1937 jamboree neckerchief slide.

1937 jacket patch made by Ang in the 1970s. To my knowledge, there were no jacket patches made until the 1953 jamboree.
Not sure what this is. Probably a souvineer or other reproduction, but haven't seen it documented anywhere.
